Please read these terms carefully before using the DISCRETE system.

1. Introduction

DISCRETE (DIT Student Complaint & Recommendation Technology) is a platform designed to allow students to submit complaints and recommendations securely and responsibly. By using this system, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

This system is intended for use by students of Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT). Unauthorized use by non-students or misuse of the platform is strictly prohibited.

3. Anonymous Reporting

Anonymous reports do not require user identification. Users must not include personal identifiers such as names, registration numbers, phone numbers, or email addresses in anonymous submissions.

4. Responsible Use

Users agree to submit information that is truthful, respectful, and relevant. The following are prohibited:

  • False or misleading reports
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive language
  • Spam or repeated submissions
  • Uploading malicious files or content
5. Identified Reporting

When reporting with identity, users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. DISCRETE is not responsible for misuse resulting from shared or compromised accounts.

6. Data Handling & Privacy

Submitted data is handled in accordance with the DISCRETE Privacy Policy. Access to reports is limited to authorized personnel for review and response purposes only.

7. Case Processing

Submission of a report does not guarantee immediate action. Response time depends on the nature of the issue and the responsible department. DISCRETE acts as a communication platform, not a decision-making authority.

8. System Availability

DISCRETE may experience downtime due to maintenance or technical issues. The system administrators are not liable for temporary unavailability or data loss caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.

9. Modifications

DISCRETE reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the system after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
